If You Plan to Text Sellers

How text messaging (SMS) gets turned on

Not everyone uses texting, so if you don't plan to, you can skip this. If you do, here's the honest breakdown. Sending texts requires carrier approval, called A2P. It's an industry-wide requirement for every platform, not a Pete thing, and we handle the entire submission for you. Here's the timeline so nothing surprises you.

We submit your business profile

Once your setup info is in, we send your business to the carriers to verify. If your LLC is 6+ months old, this is usually approved in 1 to 2 days.

Carriers review your website

They check that your site has the right opt-in form, privacy policy, and terms. We tell you exactly what's needed before anything is submitted, so there's no guesswork.

We submit your SMS campaign

The carriers do a final review that takes 14 to 21 business days. No one can speed this up. Nothing is needed from you here, we handle it and keep you posted.

  • Your legal business name, matching your IRS paperwork exactly
  • Your EIN (business tax ID number)
  • A physical business address (no PO boxes)
  • A business website with an opt-in form, privacy policy, and terms No website yet? Pete has a built-in, already-compliant website builder you can add on.
